Krishna’s Special Meal
The story teaches us that god values love and devotion over fancy gifts.

Story
Bhagwan Krishna once visited Hastinapur as a shanti doot—a messenger of peace. The Pandavas and Kauravas were about to go to war, and Krishna came to try and stop the fight. He wanted to bring peace and fairness between the two families.
When he arrived, Duryodhana, the prince of the Kauravas, invited Krishna to stay in his royal palace. But Krishna kindly said no.

“You are not offering me love,” Krishna said. “You only want me to join your side in the war. But I have come for peace, and not to be tempted by your wealth.”
Then, Krishna walked to the home of Vidura, a wise and kind man who always stood for truth. Vidura was a true devotee of Shri Krishna. Vidura was not at home, but his wife, Vidurani, was overjoyed to see Krishna. She welcomed him with all her heart.
In her excitement, she grabbed some bananas and began serving him. But she was so lost in love and devotion that she threw away the fruit and gave Krishna only the peels!
Krishna smiled and ate the banana peels happily. They were offered with such pure love that even banana peels tasted sweeter than the most delicious royal food.
Just then, Vidura came running home. He had heard that Krishna was there and rushed back. But when he saw his wife feeding banana peels to Krishna, he was shocked!
He gently stopped her, bringing her out of her deep devotion. When Vidurani saw what she had done, she felt shy and sorry. So, she quietly peeled another banana and this time offered the fruit to Bhagwan Krishna.

Krishna accepted the fruit but said kindly, “The peels you gave me earlier were much sweeter. They were full of love and offered with full attention.”
That day, everyone learned a beautiful lesson—that Bhagwan values love and devotion more than grand things.

If someone offers Me (God) a leaf, a flower, a fruit, or even water with love and devotion, I gladly accept it. God doesn’t want big gifts—He only wants our love and faith.
