Maa Siddhidatri Mantra
ॐ देवी सिद्धिदात्र्यै नमः॥
Om Devi Siddhidatryai Namah
Mira was a young intelligent girl. She was an ordinary schoolgirl with an extraordinary gift for wisdom. Mira loved to learn and was always curious, not just about books but also about people. She would read anything she could find, be it world history, religion, politics, or any other topic. Her friends often came to her for advice; though she was young, her words were thoughtful and kind.
One day, as Mira was sitting in the school library, her best friend, Lila, came running to her. Lila’s eyes were filled with worry.
“Mira, I don’t know what to do!” said Lila, almost in tears.
Mira smiled softly and asked Lila to sit down. “Tell me what’s wrong,” she said calmly and peacefully.
Lila sat down, her eyes were filled with tears. “I’m failing math, and if I don’t pass the upcoming test, I’ll have to repeat the grade. I’ve tried studying, but I just don’t get it. The numbers—they confuse me, and I feel so lost.”

Mira thought for a moment, and then she said, “You know, Lila, there are different ways to solve problems. Sometimes, it’s not just about how much you study, but how you study. When we look at a problem as one big thing, it feels difficult. But when we break it down into smaller pieces, it becomes easier to understand.”
Lila's eyes brightened a little. “So, you mean, if I break the problems down, it might not seem so hard?” She hugged her dearest friend and asked, “How are you so thoughtful and wise?”
Mira smiled and said, “It is all because of Maa Siddhidaatri.”
Lila was curious to know and then she asked, “Who is Maa Siddhidaatri? How has she helped you become so wise?”
Mira replied, “Maa Siddhidaatri is a form of Maa Durga worshipped on the ninth day of Navratri. She is a Devi who grants wisdom and knowledge to all. Did you know, she blessed Bhagwan Shiva also with wisdom and knowledge? She gave 18 siddhis (supernatural and spiritual powers) to Bhagwan Shiva, out of which 8 were primary powers and the rest were secondary.”
“I have always prayed to her, worshipped her with complete devotion. Maybe because of that she is happy with me and has blessed me also with wisdom and knowledge. You should also pray to her and chant her mantra.”
Lila was happy to know about Maa Siddhidaatri. She thanked her friend and said that she would also worship the Devi. With these kind words, Mira continued her studies in the library and Lila went home to prepare for her Math test keeping faith in Maa Siddhidatri.
