Story of sugar and water
This story teaches us that God is everywhere.
Story
Shalu goes to the temple near the house every morning with her mother. She likes going to the temple very much.
One day while returning from the temple, Shalu's eyes fell on the wall of the temple where it was written, "God is in every particle."
Shalu started thinking, “How can there be God in everything? And if this is so then why do we not see God? Maybe Nachiketa knows.”
Just then a boy wearing a turban and dhoti came there on a skateboard. He was Nachiketa.
“I have the answer to your question. But first, let me show you some magic,” said Nachiketa.
Antar Shanter Jadoo Mantar… As soon as Nachiketa said the magical words, a bowl of sugar, a glass of water and a spoon appeared in front of Shalu. Magically a spoonful of sugar got mixed into the water. Shalu was very surprised to see all this.
Nachiketa asked Shalu, “Can you see sugar in the water?”
“No”, said Shalu.
Nachiketa asked Shalu to drink water and asked, “It is sweet, isn’t it?”
“Yes, it is very sweet!” Shalu said.
“Do you understand? Even though sugar is not visible in water, its sweetness is in every drop of water.
Similarly, God is also not visible to us, but if we feel, we will find him everywhere.”
“It means God is everywhere, in the air, in the water, in the soil, in the plants, in the animals, even in us,” said Shalu.
“I understand Nachiketa, God is in every particle,” Shalu said happily.
