Vivekananda sees God
This story teaches us that God exists in everything in the world.
Story
Swami Vivekananda always had many questions about God in his mind. He wondered why we couldn't see God. Was there anyone who could prove God's existence?
One day, Swami Vivekananda asked his guru, Sri Ramakrishna, "Have you seen God?" The guru replied, "Yes, I have seen God just as I see you now." Swami Vivekananda wasn't fully convinced by his answer.
One day, Swami Vivekananda and his friends were receiving teachings from Guru Ramakrishna. The guru was explaining to them that everything in the world is God.
Hearing this, Swami Vivekananda and his friends couldn't hold back their laughter and ran out of Guru Ramakrishna's room to the courtyard.
They burst into laughter and joked about the guru's words, saying, "Look! Even this pot is God! This glass is also God! We are also God!"
Just then, Sri Ramakrishna came out of the room and placed his hand on Swami Vivekananda's shoulder.
Their laughter stopped suddenly, and Swami Vivekananda felt God's presence in everything around him. He realised that God existed in everything in the world.
